House Cleaning

Unsuccessfull!.. I got the top 5 stairs shampooed and our shampooer pooped out on me then I just basically quit! Oh well, another day! Just thought I would post I know it's not much but that's just the way it is sometimes!

The BBQ

We had a BBQ at our house with Phil's Home Teaching Families! How fun and what craziness! We are going to make this a regular thing I guess, so it makes Phil's job easier, just bring everyone over. But he actually did teach a really good lesson on Faith, he even pulled out the "little artist" chalkboard from the play room to write the scriptures down on it! He's so great, I love him!
Stetson was SO good just hangin out and watching all the kids, then I had to ruin it and sit down to eat in front of him.. I think he gets jealous that I'm eating and not feeding him, so I did give him some Animal Crackers. The Kirkland Sig kind from Costco that are AWESOME! They dissolve so easily in his mouth. Oh yeah, and our BBQ grill wasn't working so everyone filled up on Hot Dogs first cooked over the fire, then the Youngs came to the rescue and brought over their grill so finally we were able to grill up some hamburgers!

6 Months and 13 days!

6 months is GREAT! He has learned so much lately! Like he learned to roll right into this box! Well, he rolled over to the box and grabbed it, which in turn made the box flip onto his head... it was too cute not to snap a picture... or 4... you know how it goes!

He has also learned to SIT UP on his very own... which I guess Dad knew that since he was like 5 1/2 months old but I only really noticed it just last Sunday... two days ago. What a horrible Mom I am! He is one smart cookie! He loves jumping in the Jumperoo.. since he was 4 months, then we put him in the walker soon after that. He is actually learning to control where he goes. I am afraid he is going to be really independant because he likes to grab the spoon and feed himself already! I have to fight him for it! But I am in love with watching and learning about his little personality he is developing. It's so Fun!

So I was getting Stetson dressed when the bird decided to let us play with him a little bit. Usually he is pretty skiddish.

Yes he is nibbling (or whatever it is that birds do) off of Stetson face! Yuck!... but dang cute!

I am a little Skiddish around the bird myself, but Stetson? He's all good!

I am a horrible BLOGGER!!! I look at everyone else's and you guys are so good and I have had numerous people BOO at me for not updating! You guys probably look at it more than I do! ANYWAY, so what neew in the Harding House hold? Well, funny thing, this morning before Church (church starts at 8 for us, mind you) Phil and I heard a bird chirping just outside our front door. So Phil went into the salon to look out the window and sure enough there was someones "pet bird" gripping onto the frame of the window. So he decided to catch it and bring 'him' inside. Phil says its a boy cuz he is colorful. Yes, I know, my hubby is so smart! I'm proud of him! So now we have the pet bird! Before we left for church we stretegically got him into Stetson's portable crib with a corkboard over part of the top and then a blanket. But by the time we got home, we had weasled his way out.. little rascal! Long story.. anyway so Phil called our neighbor to see if he happened to have a bird cage, he just happened to know someone who was willing to loan it out to us! So we will put FOUND posters around our area to see if anyone claims him.. if not.. he's ours! Hoo-ray! Free bird... Phil's excited.
