Stetson's First Haircut!

Phil talked me into cutting Stetson's hair because of the long and akward hairs next to the new little short hairs.

He is so used to seeing me cut other peoples hair, it was no big deal to him!

HOORAY!

Don't look at me in the pictures, cuz I look GREAT, this is about the boy!

Happy with Dad in his new hair cut!

Wonderful Rain and MUD!

Phil cannot help himself when it rains and there is mud just across the street with our truck perfectly capable of driving thru it. So he does! And quite often, I'd say just about every time he gets stuck.

At least this time, it wasn't 11 O'clock at night with his pregnant wife in the car. Yes, this event did happen, not long before these pictures were taken. He was wearing gym shorts, t-shirt and flip flops. I was wearing PJ's and flip flops because we were just supposed to be washing off all the mud on his truck from the previous time he went mudding. It was down pouring at about 10:30pm when we left. Our street gets puddles easily, so we were just going to drive thru them a little bit. He got the truck nice and clean, but it didn't last long. I made the mistake of asking him to see if there were any puddles on the other street. He saw the mud and it DREW him in! Next thing I know, we are stuck in sludge with my side closest to the ground. Danny, my father-in-law, came out with his truck and Phil's friend/neighbor Nick to pull us out. Well, we were SO STUCK and DEEP in that sludge of mud, that his truck couldn't pull us out. So, now were we not only stuck, but I had to get out and walk in this mud to the other truck to take me home. I took my flip flops off mind you, so I was now bare foot in mud. At this point, it is still raining.

So we make it to the truck, Danny starts heading toward home. Everything is fine, I am going to be getting home soon, get cleaned up and warm... right? NO, on the last turn to get back on the main drag to our house, Danny turns right into a ditch full of water and more mud. It was hard to see if there was ground under the water because it was dark for 1 and 2 there was SO MUCH WATER!

Stuck again, me and Danny sat there while Phil and Nick ran back to the house, probably just a half mile away, to get a car to bring us home. Meanwhile, Nick had to put a part back in his truck to get it running so he could pull Danny out. Then they went back and pulled Phil's truck out from behind. Phil didn't get home that night til about 1AM. Sorry for the long story. I wasn't too mad about the whole thing, it was just funny so I thought I would share!

Stetson likes to drive Papa's big truck!
(Which is Phil's truck now, him and Danny traded, Phil is in heaven!)

Family Get together

I don't really remember what this get together was for, but it's nice to get everyone together every once in a while! I think my Grandma was here too along with my Uncle who both live in Flagstaff, not pictured here though.

Stetson discovered this cool bike in Lexi's backyard and didn't want to leave it alone.
My niece's Ari and MaKenna had a fun time with their cousin Tanner.

STETSON

Stetson is growing to be more and more like a little kid instead of my little baby. He is repeating a lot of what all 3 of us adults in the house say. It is so good that he has constant intaction with adults to really learn to put words together. Just the other day at the store, Phil was pushing him around in the cart and I was walking just ahead of them. Stetson put his hand up on the back rest of the cart and got his little finger stuck. We weren't really paying much attention to him, so he managed to get the words out..."I STUCK!" At first, I didn't quite realize what he had said, and then I quickly saw the expression of helplessness on his face and said, "Oh he's stuck!" Phil quickly 'unstuck' him and all was fine. I could help but laugh though. He was desperate to get our attention, so much that he learned to put those TWO words together! I was amazed he even knew the word 'stuck'! It's so fun to watch him learn and grow. He is the sweetest little boy I know, and I am so excited to have another one soon!

Stetson loves to jump on the Trampoline with Dad. He will even try to jump on solid ground raise his little eyebrows and say, "JUMP, JUMP!"

Stetson also loves BO the hound dog, who is so lazy that he doesn't even care when Stetson lays with him on his bed. Stetson will even fall asleep here occasionally.

Not long after Stetson learned to sleep in his toddler bed did he learn to get up quietly from a nap and destroy his room with the tissue box I thought was out of his reach on his dresser. A week or more later, I accidently left his wipe box on the floor along with baby powder and he decided to have some fun with that too!
